Basic instructions to install a Plugin:

  • Log into your WordPress Admin account www.sitename.com/wp-admin
  • Go to the Plugins section and choose Install Plugins
  • On the top left click on Add New
  • Find the plugin you want and click on the more details link (we strongly recommend to review this information to check for compatibility list, installation requirements, FAQ and any special instructions.
  • Click on Install Now and check for no errors as seen on the image below.
  • Finally, click on the Active Plugin link and check for no error too.

  • Log into your WordPress Admin account www.sitename.com/wp-admin
  • Go to Dashboard > Updates
  • Check the plugin or plugins to be updated.
  • Click on the Update Plugins button.

  • Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins
  • Click on the update now option
  • Click on the Install Update Now button.
  • Check for no errors after installation as seen on the image below.

Try not to install a lot of plugins at once and attempt to only use the ones you really need, sometimes it may cause trouble and damage your WordPress installation, even leaving you without access to the admin site.
