Like Apple usually does, very often we get updates to the iOS operative system including new features, addressing issues related to previous versions and bug fixes. Yesterday version 9.1 was released and one of the main new features comes to add over 150 new emoji characters with full support for Unicode 7.0 and 8.0.
The other main new feature, besides many others, brings some improvement to Live Photos, which basically includes sensing when you raise or lower your iPhone so it doesn’t record those movements.
If you want to perform this update yourself, you must go to Settings/General/Software update. Keep in mind the devide needs at least 50% battery life (or to be charging) to install the update. Do not forget to check for more information related to this and other Apple Security Updates.
